Working for more than 14 years, from a 2-foot model to the 48-foot catamaran, Russ’ dream came true when The Rhumbline navigated the Missouri, Mississippi, Ohio Rivers and the Canal to the Gulf of Mexico in September 2010. While ‘Noah’ wasn’t there to see her launched, friends and family carried out his wish with fond memories.
Sailing: Christopher Cross
This website hosts the Guestbook for people who receive a medallion of ‘Rhumbline Around The World’, and tells the story of Russ’ journey from Dreams to Destinations, plus about him growing up in Iowa, his interests and his family.
Russ wasnโt able to sail The Rhumbline on the rivers, lakes, inlets, seas, and oceans of the world. So we created a way that Noah can continue his journey. If you received or found the medallion, please sign in below with the number of your medallion. Then Pass It On!!!
We’ve heard that many of you would like to track your medallion, so we set up a simple tracking system which will allow you to watch the progress of your coin! Click Here to Track Your Medallion.

> July 18th, 2016 10:58 am I got my medallion (1939) in Boulder, CO from Carolyn and plan to pass it along in the very near future. Russ' story challenges me. I'd like to send it with someone to Asia.

> March 25th, 2016 9:25 am I was sitting at the pantheon in Rome with my friend Karine when someone sat beside me, sort of bumping into me saying : ''oh I'm so sorry!'' and I responded with ''That's fine''. She was surprised to be sitting next to someone who spoke american. I proceeded to tell her that I was actually a French canadian, but bilingual. We started talking about our trip, me and Karine were doing an internship in Switzerland and Belgium and we would meet up during the weekends. These two nice ladies gave us the medallion like it was meant to be. Very glad we met you girls! I will be sending you an email soon Christine ๐ I am heading to Avignon, France tomorrow and will be giving the medallion to a good friend over there

> March 10th, 2016 5:43 am So in Italy, outside the Pantheon, I met two good friends from Canada doing internships in Belgium and Switzerland who meet up every weekend to travel. They agreed to take the medallion with them on their travels and pass it on.

> March 6th, 2016 11:18 am I left #1222 with a darling young man named Alan who waited for us every morning with the zipper purses he sold outside the Miiramax Windsor on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro on 3-6-16. He spends every day at that breathtaking crossroads of humanity by the sea. May Russ's spirit travel well.
