Working for more than 14 years, from a 2-foot model to the 48-foot catamaran, Russ’ dream came true when The Rhumbline navigated the Missouri, Mississippi, Ohio Rivers and the Canal to the Gulf of Mexico in September 2010. While ‘Noah’ wasn’t there to see her launched, friends and family carried out his wish with fond memories.
This website hosts the Guestbook for people who receive a medallion of ‘Rhumbline Around The World’, and tells the story of Russ’ journey from Dreams to Destinations, plus about him growing up in Iowa, his interests and his family.
Russ wasnโt able to sail The Rhumbline on the rivers, lakes, inlets, seas, and oceans of the world. So we created a way that Noah can continue his journey. If you received or found the medallion, please sign in below with the number of your medallion. Then Pass It On!!!
We’ve heard that many of you would like to track your medallion, so we set up a simple tracking system which will allow you to watch the progress of your coin! Click Here to Track Your Medallion.

>> September 16th, 2015 9:22 pm I found #44 on a bench at Pittock Mansion in Portland, OR. This mansion is at the top of a very steep mountain and the walk up was quite arduous. The view, however, was its own reward. Overlooking the Willemette and Columbia Rivers, the view would have been one that Russ would have enjoyed.

>> September 11th, 2015 4:05 pm I was presented with Medallion #50 by the current owner of Rhumbline for the customization that I've performed. Rhumbline is an amazing vessel and I can appreciate the special commitment that Russ put into building it. The monumental task of building the hull, with the fabrication, welding of aluminum, running of wires and plumbing, and ordering the mechanical components to make it a boat was nothing short of a major project. I have seen Russ's spirit alive in Rhumbline. As a sailor, it has been my pleasure to be a part of her existence and can't wait to see her complete as sailing vessel.

>> Concerning what Leslie said on May 29th we did not find medaillon #992 (as I read the handwriting) but #942. 'Cos we found it exactly at the place Leslie described.
