Working for more than 14 years, from a 2-foot model to the 48-foot catamaran, Russ’ dream came true when The Rhumbline navigated the Missouri, Mississippi, Ohio Rivers and the Canal to the Gulf of Mexico in September 2010. While ‘Noah’ wasn’t there to see her launched, friends and family carried out his wish with fond memories.
This website hosts the Guestbook for people who receive a medallion of ‘Rhumbline Around The World’, and tells the story of Russ’ journey from Dreams to Destinations, plus about him growing up in Iowa, his interests and his family.
Russ wasn’t able to sail The Rhumbline on the rivers, lakes, inlets, seas, and oceans of the world. So we created a way that Noah can continue his journey. If you received or found the medallion, please sign in below with the number of your medallion. Then Pass It On!!!
We’ve heard that many of you would like to track your medallion, so we set up a simple tracking system which will allow you to watch the progress of your coin! Click Here to Track Your Medallion.
April 30th, 2013 6:34 pm> I received the medallion no.: 726 from Russ' grandson on the 30.03.2013. He was that thirsty when he reached the top of Machu Picchu, that I gave him some water. As a thank you, I received this medallion.

La devise Ironman est : "Any thing is possible!" Je peux vous affirmer que c'est vrai... et pour toutes les sphères de la vie! Allez-y, sortez dehors et vivez vos rêves!!! Christian

> April 6th, 2013 11:07 am We found medallion #658 at the base of a tree on a walking trail at Red Rock Crossing, Sedona, Arizona on our walk back to see the Cathedral Rock on March 10, 2013. This was a very touching story so we decided to bring the medallion with us on our road trip around Arizona, California and Nevada and back home to Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. We plan to leave the medallion at Fundy National Park where many tourists will visit during the upcoming summer.

> February 23rd, 2013 7:07 am Received medallion 948 in Rodney Bay, St Lucia, in January 2012 from a French boat - or at least a French female crew on a yacht there. We are on yacht Gunvor XL and have taken part in the World ARC Rally 2012-13 and the medallion went around the world (with a sojurn in Hamburg , by plane) and will now be handed off to another sailor upon our return to the Caribbean in March 2013.

> February 14th, 2013 6:15 pm January 28, 2013 I received Medallion #287 from Russ' sister, Carolyn Campion, in November 2011. On January 24, 2013, I placed the Medallion in the crook of a two-trunk tree overlooking Saguaro Lake in the Tonto National Forest northeast of Phoenix. Although I never knew Russ, I placed his Medallion in view of the lake in honor of his dream to sail the waters of the world in The Rhumbline.
