Working for more than 14 years, from a 2-foot model to the 48-foot catamaran, Russ’ dream came true when The Rhumbline navigated the Missouri, Mississippi, Ohio Rivers and the Canal to the Gulf of Mexico in September 2010. While ‘Noah’ wasn’t there to see her launched, friends and family carried out his wish with fond memories.
This website hosts the Guestbook for people who receive a medallion of ‘Rhumbline Around The World’, and tells the story of Russ’ journey from Dreams to Destinations, plus about him growing up in Iowa, his interests and his family.
Russ wasnโt able to sail The Rhumbline on the rivers, lakes, inlets, seas, and oceans of the world. So we created a way that Noah can continue his journey. If you received or found the medallion, please sign in below with the number of your medallion. Then Pass It On!!!
We’ve heard that many of you would like to track your medallion, so we set up a simple tracking system which will allow you to watch the progress of your coin! Click Here to Track Your Medallion.
My last entry mistakenly indicated the wrong medallion number. It should be 1611 instead of 1191. This is for Singapore and Indonesia.

Medallion 1191 has been traveling through Indonesia. It has been in the jungle of Borneo watching orangutans and proboscis monkeys. It has traveled through the islands of Java and Bali. And it is going to the islands of Flores, Rinca, Bidadari and Komodo where I hope to see a Komodo dragon.

Visiting my brother with out whole family after over 8 years of not being all together. I am from North Carolina visiting Bellingham WA. The other part of family flew in from Indiana. We were on a hike on Lake Padden searching for โgoldโ with all kids under 8. We found some by the way. And I found this coin on our exit from a beautiful trail Now the coin flew to Wilmington NC yesterday 6-24-24. And will continue its adventure from here. Coin 1355

Medallions #1610 and 1611 were given to us by Russ' sister, our maid of honor at our wedding 55 years ago, May 24, 1969. We will be taking them to the islands of Seychelles, off the east coast of Kenya. We plan to give them to fellow passengers on a week's snorkeling cruise through the islands.
